What happened

Advertised as Included, Then Charged for Anyway

Auction AutoHouse advertised that every used vehicle it sells comes with a "3-Month / 3,000-Mile Warranty." The complaint alleges buyers were led to believe this coverage was part of the deal, but the dealership then folded the cost of that service contract into the vehicle's price without ever listing it as its own charge.

The section of the buyer's order built to itemize add-on products was marked "N/A," so a buyer reading the paperwork had no way to see that they were paying for the warranty. The lawsuit alleges that advertising the coverage as included while quietly charging for it, across many sales, is an unfair and deceptive practice under section 501.976, Florida Statutes, and the Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act.

$530.00The cost of the "included" service contract that the complaint alleges was never itemized on the buyer's order, but buried in the vehicle's price instead.

What to watch for

Signs Your Auction AutoHouse Purchase May Be Affected

1

A warranty pitched as "included"

You were told the car came with a warranty, part of the deal, but were never shown a separate charge for it.

2

An "N/A" add-on section

The "Additional Products" lines on your buyer's order are blank or marked N/A, even though you got coverage.

3

A price that didn't add up

The total you paid seems to include costs that weren't broken out anywhere you could review them.

4

Collection or balance demands

You received payment demands tied to the purchase that you couldn't reconcile with the disclosed price.

Who this affects

Common questions

What Buyers Are Asking

Does this cost me anything?
The case evaluation is free, and submitting a report carries no cost or obligation. Fee arrangements depend on the matter: some of these consumer matters are handled on a contingency basis, where attorney's fees are generally pursued separately from any recovery; others are handled on a flat-fee or hourly basis. Whatever the arrangement, it is explained in writing before you decide whether to hire the firm.
What is the hidden fee the case is about?
The complaint alleges that the dealership advertised a warranty as included with every vehicle, then charged buyers for that service contract without ever itemizing the cost on the buyer's order, folding it into the vehicle's price where a buyer couldn't see it. The complaint contends that Florida law requires such costs to be disclosed as a separate line item.
I don't have my paperwork. Can I still report?
Yes. If you bought a vehicle from Auction AutoHouse and believe you were given a warranty or service contract, the legal team can help you review what you have.
Do I have to do anything to join a class?
If a class is certified by the court, eligible consumers are typically included automatically and would receive formal notice. Reporting now simply helps counsel gauge the scope of the alleged conduct.
Is this an official government or court alert?
No. This is an attorney advertisement and informational consumer alert published by the firms investigating this matter. It is not issued or approved by any court or government agency.
