You ("Client" or "you") are entering into this agreement with Sue Your Dealer - A Law Firm LLC, located in Broward County, Florida ("SYD" or "we"). By signing this document, you allow SYD to investigate possible legal claims you may have. Please read this agreement carefully before signing.
What SYD Will Do for You
SYD will investigate your potential claims under federal and state laws. To do this, we will need to review documents related to your claim and potentially submit public records requests on your behalf.
The 180-Day Exclusive Investigation Period
SYD will have 180 days to investigate your claims (the "Exclusive Investigative Period"). During this time:
• You agree not to talk to other lawyers about these claims.
• You will not schedule any legal consultations elsewhere.
• You will cooperate with SYD by providing any documents or information we need when asked.
At any time during these 180 days, SYD may let you know whether you have a valid legal claim. If you do, we will ask you to sign another agreement so we can officially represent you. If not, we will send you an email explaining that we cannot take your case further.
When This Agreement Ends
This agreement ends either:
• At 5:00 p.m. on the 180th day, or
• When SYD informs you in writing that we are not taking your case.
After this period, you are free to find another lawyer.
Your Responsibilities
You must help SYD with the investigation by:
• Providing all necessary documents and information.
• Updating us if your contact information changes.
• Giving truthful and complete details about your situation. If you do not cooperate, it could delay or hurt your case.
Upfront Costs
You do not have to pay any money during the investigation unless we ask you to. If we later represent you in a lawsuit and win, we may recover fees and costs from the company or person we sue.
Electronic Signatures
SYD will send you documents for your signature electronically. You agree that:
• We can use your electronic signature on forms related to this investigation.
• If you do not respond within 7 days, we may sign on your behalf to keep the investigation moving.
State-Specific Consumer Protection Laws
You also allow SYD to look into any state-specific laws that may apply to your situation.
By submitting this case evaluation request, you agree to these terms and allow SYD to investigate your potential claims.
